Bayviews Restaurant & Lounge Bar has been proudly owned and operated by husband and wife Kurt and Ann Wyss since 2009. It is situated on the beach with endless views of the coast extending to the ocean in the refreshing climate of coastal northern Tasmania.
At Bayviews, you can enjoy a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere for dining in the restaurant, savouring casual drinks with bar food in the lounge and private dining area, and hosting conferences and meetings in the exquisite Wave Room.

Ocean trout tataki
Warm chilli ponzu, fresh blood orange, miso and orange dressing, fresh daikon, dried wakame
Eye fillet carpaccio
Pepper rolled sliced fillet of beef, parmesan and black pepper lavosh, bone marrow aioli, pickled radish, fried capers, fresh parmesan
Slow cooked rolled belly of pork
Cauliflower puree, red cabbage jam, spice roasted florets of cauliflower, pork cheek wontons, crisp fried local kale
Peanut semi freddo ice cream
Peanut butter and miso mousse, whipped dark chocolate ganache, caramel sauce, miso roasted peanuts
CHEF’S TASTING MENU (6 courses)
1. Ocean trout tataki
Warm chilli ponzu, fresh blood orange, miso and orange dressing, fresh daikon, dried wakame
2. Pan seared pumpkin and chive gnocchi
Tossed through maple scented brown butter, salsa verde, house marinated persian fetta, maple roasted pepitas and pinenuts
3.Prawn and chorizo dumplings
Fried and steamed, citrus coconut broth, white radish kimchi, chorizo oil, fresh herbs
4. Confit duck and mushroom short crust tart
Garlic scented wilted chard, blackberry and red wine sauce
5. Chargrilled lamb loin and pressed neck
Parsnip puree, harissa spiced polenta, preserved lemon labneh, zucchini relish salsa verde, almond dukkah, mint
6. Peanut semi freddo ice cream
Peanut butter and miso mousse, whipped dark chocolate ganache, caramel sauce, miso roasted peanuts
